Catch Up Time

Gah. I've gotten to the point where I am so behind on blogging it feels almost too overwhelming to try and catch up. However, I'm always grateful to have things recorded and documented on here so I'm going to do my best to fill in some of the things that have happened since Easter. Here we go...

Elle and I were brave enough to venture out for a few bike rides together. Taking the bike out makes me wish we didn't live on the top of a hill!
My cute girl checking the grocery deals for me while at the store. With limited places to go in town, I'd say we visit Smith's a minimum of 3-4 times a week.
Elle and I spent an extended weekend in Provo at the start of May. We went up during the week, then a few days later my sister and sister-in-laws all came into town. Candace spoke at Women's Conference so we were all able to make a girls weekend out of it and be in attendance. It was fun to be reunited!
One day I walked out of the condo bedroom to see Elle wiping her baby's bum. The diapers and wipes were put away in a drawer, but being the responsible Mommy she is, she got them out and took care of her baby's business (I just wish she would learn to take care of herself first!).
We got to meet up with Ashley and her boy, Chase, for some lunch and fun at the park. They just moved to California and I am so sad we won't get to have little dates like this whenever we come down to Utah again :(

Sister time! The first night everyone was in town we hit up Red Iguana (yummy Mexican food) in Salt Lake for dinner.
Candace did a great job on her presentation at Women's Conference. I love this "paparazzi" shot I got of women who went up to talk to her as soon as it was over. She is inspiring!
 Mi hermanas

I was tasked with buying two paddle boards from Costco that we were going to bring down to Lake Powell for Sam's family. This task turned out to be a bit larger (literally) than expected. My sis-in-law, Jenny, was kind and came with to help me while Jen watched Elle. Two Costco employees had to get the boards down, then Jenny had to sit on top of them to keep them from tipping on the cart. We got a lot of stares as we made our way out front.
Then we had to load them into the car. We could only take one board at a time so we had to run back to Costco again. Once the boards were at the condo we had to get them in from the back patio door. As you can see, they took up pretty much the whole length of the living room! We later rearranged everything so the room was still usable :) Thank you, Jenny! The boards were a hit at Powell so it was worth it, but more on that later...
 More sister time...

Cinco De Mayo, Elle of course had to wear what we call her "Senorita Dress" from Mexico. Don't mind the attractive face.
Someone became an Oreo lover like her Mom and Dad. Look at that grin!
On Mother's Day, Sam went to pick up Elle from nursery and was surprised to find her like this... Someone was exhausted! Taking a nap in nursery was a first for her.
Sambo spoiled me that night by cooking a delicious meal. He said I could request anything I wanted. I decided on brueschetta with fettuccine alfredo (and he added chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert!).

That was a fun trip! Remember the bee that stayed on our windshield the whole way to Provo? Random. Those paddle boards were super fun at the lake so definitely worth the effort! Plus, that memory always makes me laugh.
