JB 5 Months

5 months! I still think my little boy is so handsome. I get comments every day on his blue eyes. Jordan continues to get chunkier and chunkier (I also get a lot of comments on how "solid" he is). He has started to make a habit of only waking once in the night (not the last two nights where he's woken up 4 times!). His naps are shorter, he loves grabbing his toes, he talks a lot when he first wakes up in the morning, he still needs his reflux medicine, he knows me and my voice, and he is always waiting for someone to make eye contact with him so he can flash his big smiles. Jordan is still a flirt, he doesn't just smile at someone, but his whole face lights up and after a few seconds of showing his big grin he turns his head to the side and looks back at the person again. It cracks me up. He is still overall very easy going, and just a happy little guy!

In June, Jordan had his first trip to Lake Powell with the whole Nielsen gang...
Grandpa Nielsen with baby Evelyn and Jordan. Evelyn is one month younger than Jordan. I have a similar photo like this of Tracy holding Sawyer (Eva's brother) and Eleanor, who are also just a month apart in age.

Jordan is always grabbing for his toes lately
Between months 4-5 we made a move to Utah! (I should post more on that...but I'll at least say here that we are LOVING it so far!)
We live only a few minutes from Lagoon so of course Sammy had to buy us season passes when he knew we'd live so close. This is Jordan on his first ride (a train). As you can tell, he wasn't too sure about the whole ordeal :)
With the move, Jordan finally upgraded from sleeping in a pack-and-play in our closet to sleeping in a real full-sized crib in his own room!

JB 4 Months

4 months old! Jordan weighs in at 16 lbs. He is 63% for weight, 40% for length, and 89% for head circumference. Within the 3-4 month age, Jordan found his voice, started giggling, still refuses a bottle, and has only about a 15 minute grace period after feedings where he is fine playing on the ground... all other times he wants to be held. My favorite thing about Jordan at this stage is that he has turned into a total flirt! When Jordan smiles his whole face lights up and he keeps giving the biggest grins if someone is looking at him. He is still a good napper and will sleep for hours when in the car (that's how we've been able to do so many roadtrips! Arizona, Mexico, California - he's a champ through it all!)

Morning cuddles (the first thing Eleanor wants to do each morning when she wakes up is see Baby Jordan!)
Cute boy
Trying on his Jordan's that dad thought may fit now (still has a few YEARS! haha)

Snoozin at the beach in California!

Jordan's Blessing Day

In April we had the opportunity to go down to Arizona (and then on to Mexico!). Since we would be by almost all of our family we decided it would be the perfect time to bless Jordan. The Sunday of his blessing is now one of my favorite days to think back on! Sam gave Jordan a beautiful blessing in my parent's ward. Our parents, all of our siblings and their families (except for Chris and his fam in California), plus my grandparents from each side were in attendance and the men were able to stand in the circle for the blessing. Afterwards, we invited everyone over to my parent's house where we had setup a waffle bar. Belgium waffles, assorted berries, fresh whipped cream, bacon, eggs and orange juice were all served...it was pretty delicious I must say! It was a beautiful day and great to visit with family and be together. Of course, plenty of photos had to be taken as well :)
